After the city meeting, Makayla was tasked with finding options that could well serve West Delaware. Options that could serve an institution as small as West Delaware, which only produces a maximum of 100 lbs of food waste per week. Most In-Vessel compost systems are meant to serve large cdorportartions or restraints. The options are limited, but perfect.


Earth Cube Cons:

  • Requires manual difficult manual labor that West Delaware does not have the support for (auger usage

Earth Cube Pros:

  • less expensive

  • Small dimension


Ridan Cons:

  • Not fully automated, but makes manual turning an ease with the wheel

Ridan Pros:

  • less expensive

  • Insulated


The Rocket Cons:

  • Expensive

  • Uses electricity (unsustainable and additional cost)

  • Not insulated for the winter

The Rocket Pros:

  • Full automated/no manual labor

  • Self-Regulating
